ADF's make great aquarium pets, but fish aquariums are not always great for ADF's. We'll give you the info you won't get from aquarium experts, who know tropical fish, but little about these frogs..............

Building a Dinosaur

Stan T. Rex was our best salesman at the TIA Toy Fair In NYC. Who can argue with a 65 million year old 30 ft tall, 40 ft. long fellow with sharp, pointed smiling teeth.

The Boss show off some of our new products...

Rhett Power, President of Wild Creations, shows two new products at Toy Fair 2011 in New York. Roll-Up Roads turns a table into a city layout for all types of toy cars, trains, & airplanes. The RC Skybird flys like a real bird by remote control. Both toys got a lot of attention at Toy Fair and will be available nationwide.

Fresh from Toy Fair 2011...

time2playblog.jpgTime To Play really knows my kids. We are mega dinosaur fanatics in this house! When Carter opened the Dino Excavation Kit by Geoworld , his eyes came alive! We laid out the tools and some paper towels and got to work!

After a few minutes of digging he finally got his first piece free.
Carefully brushing off the dust he was working like the best
Paleontologist. After he got all the pieces free (took him about 20 minutes total) he rinsed each piece to get every last bit of plaster off. Then I helped him assemble the skeleton.
Some of the pieces were a tight fit, but after a bit of some good old fashioned elbow grease, we got the skeleton together and Carter was so excited that he grabbed some other toy dinosaurs he had and ran to the family room to watch Jurassic Park with his new toy.
At only $11.99 MSRP, this toy would make a great gift for a friend’s birthday party or a nice reward for a good report card. It’s also the perfect price for kids to save up for with any allowance they may get. Carter already is saving up for the Velociraptor. They also have a Triceratops, Pteranodon, Brachiosaurus and Stegosaurus to choose from.

If your kids love dinosaurs as much as my kids do, they will absolutely love the Geoworld Excavation Kit.

Some key points to note:
  • Low price point but still a quality product!
  • Fun and easy to remove pieces.
  • Realistic looking model.
  • Some pieces were difficult to fit together, but it holds strong through lots of play.

Wild Creations New Crime Scene Investigation Kits Solve Household Mysteries And More

We’re all familiar with the following children’s rhymeAt least we used to be. It may start the same but thanks to Wild Creations Crime Scene Investigation Kits it’s got a completely new ending:
Mommy: “Who stole the cookies from the cookie jar?”
Johnny: “Mommy stole the cookies from the cookie jar!”
    Mommy: “Who me? Couldn’t be.”
Johnny: “Yes it was, mommy and I can prove it! Not only were your fingerprints all over the lid, but there was fuzz from your robe inside. AND, you must have done it after you exercised because your sneakers left a print in some flour that had evidently spilled on the ground.” Case solved!

It’s a good thing that daddy got the kids the complete set of Wild Creations Crime Scene Investigation Kits. Whether it’s for the fun of being a pretend detective or the joy of learning about the unique qualities every person and fabric has, these detailed kits teach children about different elements of forensic science. Wild Creations to introduce Retro Robots(TM) Line at Toy Fair

Wild Creations Releases Retro Robots To Serve Children Faithfullyrrlogo.png

Whether you are or aren’t old enough to remember the classic toy robots from the 1950s, 60s and 70s, these mechanical marvels have never stopped inspiring creativity, imagination and fun. Whirring gears, choppy motions and mechanical voices were the way toy robots protected children from bad guys, foreign soldiers and the ultimate nemesis, Martian
invaders! Now, thanks to Wild Creations’ re-introduction of some of the most beloved toy robots of the past, human kids are once again protected. Visit Wild Creations Booth 5367 at the 2011 American International Toy Fair to see these retrorobots live up to their legend. The fact that the booth will be 100% Martian-free is proof-enough that these mechanical men are still better than a hyper-warp-stun-phaser.

    Electric Robot – Ages 6+, $49.99
electricrobot3d.jpgIn the mid-50s Marx Toys’ Electric Robot captured the hearts and minds of America’s youth. Featuring a variety of actions, controlled individually by different knobs and buttons on its back. Forward and backward motion, light-up eyes, it also can telegraph Morse code and there’s a handy timecover.png cheat sheet printed on the back of his head). Electric Robot’s arms move up and down by turning the two knobs near his shoulders, and a switch at the back of his base determines whether he moves to the right or to the left. It’s all so manual, so interactive – it’s hard not to have fun with this toy. At the time Electric Robot was introduced, Marx Toys was the world's largest toymaker and Louis Marx was the personality of the industry known as "The Henry Ford of the Toy Industry." For Christmas of 1955, Time magazine chose Mr. Marx to grace its cover including the Electric Robot on the upper left, see photo from Time Magazine cover, Dec. 12, 1955.

    Rudy the Robot – Ages 6+, $49.99
rudydrobot3d.jpgRudy’s big, bad and heading your way! In “Heavy 70s” day-glow yellow, Rudy will walk you back to a simpler time when toys were tough and fun! Rudy the Robot is faithfully reproduced complete with period packaging. This authentic product is made from the original molds! Rudy was the #1 toy of Christmas 1968.

    Robert the Robot – Ages 6+, $49.99
Sci-fi toys were kid favorites in the early 1950s. Space helmets and ray guns were cool, roberttherobot3d.jpgbut nothing was quite as cool as having your own robot, particularly Robert the Robot. This popular toy walks again in this faithful reproduction, right down to its “I am Robert Robot, mechanical man. Drive me and steer me, wherever you can…” Robert was the pioneer of plastic toy robots in 1954, when a popular TV Show called "Captain Video" featured a robot called "TOBOR" (which of course is "robot" spelled backwards). Robert the Robot was inspired by Tobor and of course the TV program helped sales.

    Mr. Machine ™ – Ages 6+, $49.99
mrmachine3d.jpgMr. Machine, the popular mechanical man is back! A robot wearing top-hat; turn his giant windup key at the back and watch him “walk,” swinging his arms and repeatedly ringing his chest mounted bell. This is the original toy that was introduced 50 golden years ago in 1960--you not only can see his mechanical “innards” through his clear, plastic body, but also take the toy apart and put it back together, over and over. What’s old is new again with Mr. Machine! Mr. Machine is recognized as one of the all-time greatest toys of the
    American Toy Industry.

Quick Response Codes coming to Wild Creations Products

Wild Creations Implements “Quick Response Technology” To Educate Its Parent Shoppers

Now there’s yet another amazing advancement in how shoppers can learn about toys… and the faster people learn about it, the happier we at Wild Creations will be. The technology is called “Quick Response” and it’s available for free on most smart phones. Using one of the many free, downloadable applications (aka “apps”) such as Red Laser, shoppers can scan images of a product’s barcode on a package and be whisked away – virtually speaking -- to learn an incredible amount of information about that possible purchase.

Starting this spring, you'll find the Quick Response scanner codes on our product boxes to help customers make informed qrcode.jpgpurchasing decisions about its toys. Using their smart phones, toy-shopping parents, aunt, uncles and grandparents that scan the bar codes on a Wild Creations toy box will immediately be "phoneported" to websites where they can read customers reviews, see YouTube video demos, check award reviews and read media or blog reviews, etc., about the toy.
Backing up Wild Creation’s smart move into smart phones, the company cites a recent survey of US consumers by Booz & Company about their usage and attitudes toward mobile commerce. The survey found that nearly 20 percent of consumers are using their smart phones for price and product comparison. That figure is expected to rise to 25 percent in the near future. And based on the expected growth in smart phone usage, by 2013, half of the consumers in retail stores will
use their smart phones for shopping.
