Democratic Candidate for Governor visits Wild Creations

South Carolina Democratic Candidate for Governor, State Senator Vincent Sheheen, held a press conference at the Wild Creations production facility in Myrtle Beach today, demonstrating that economic growth and employment comes from the development of small business with fundamental business philosophy's.

Sen. Sheheen, in a campaign swing through the South Carolina low country, pointed out that small business jobs is vital in palmetto state economics. "We must nurture & support small businesses that mix innovation with sound business structure... here is a prime example of a business succeeding by holding to basic business practice while exploring fresh ideas."

Touring the Wild Creations production facility, Sen. Sheheen met with workers on the production floor. "We're pleased to have the Senator visit," said Wild Creations owner Peter Gasca, "it's great he's committed in helping small business."

On one of his first campaign stops made after his opponent, GOP Candidate Nikki Haley won her gubernatorial race, Senator Sheheen is aware he has a uphill battle ahead. "I know that pundits call me the underdog in this campaign. But I have never shrank from a challenge." He added, "I'm asking democrats, independents, and republicans who love their state more than any party label, to join me in a mission to save South Carolina's future, together, we can move South Carolina forward."

Myrtle Beach, SC based company Wild Creations Inc. announced today the creation of a new toy division with an expanded product line.
Wild Creations Science & Nature™ offers an exclusive line of toys, puzzles & games with a scientific theme, targeted for youths to young adults. The 60+ item product line includes selected toys from a variety of toy brands currently popular in Europe & the United Kingdom.
“We’ve always wanted to offer products that educate, inspire, and inform…,” said Rhett Power, co-owner of Wild Creations, “We’ve been successful with our EcoAquarium™, but our customers have asked for more.” The EcoAquarium™ is a compact aquarium ecosystem featuring African Dwarf Frogs with special appeal for young children to adults. The low maintenance, self contained aquarium allows you to get a “bird’s eye” view of a natural working environment.
In 2007 the company started distributing EcoAquariums™ to local stores. It was introduced for the first time on a national level at Toy Fair 2009 in New York City. To date, EcoAquariums™ are now sold in over 900 stores nationwide, as well as offered online at www.wildcreations.com.
The line of toys, which include Insect habitats, Botanical & Geological Discovery Kits, Remote Controlled Toys & other Nature & Scientific Kits & accessories, are expected to be available by June of 2010.

Toy Industry Association nominates Wild Creations for Toy of the Year

Nominations for the Toy Industry Association's Toy of the Year were announced today with the EcoAquarium(tm) as a nominee in the Speciality Toy category.

Wild Creations has grown from a small company, delivering its EcoAquariums to local specality stores, to an industry leader represented in over 900 stores nation-wide. Todays announcement reflects the growing popularity of it's line of family-friendly balanced eco-system habitats, called the EcoAquarium.

The TIA Toy of the Year, considered the "Oscar" of the toy industry has in the past been awarded to toys like Tickle Me Elmo, Leap Frog Learning Centers, and Hanna Montana.

This years balloting has a significant new twist with it's introduction of public input in the award process. For the first time, the general public will have the opprotunity to vote for their favorite toys at a on-line ballot available for everyone to participate. As an added incentive to vote, after balloting, each visitor will have the chance to win all the nominated toys in the category of their choice.

Of course, most Toy of the Year nominees are backed by large corporations with intimidating marketing budgets, so we are asking that all of our Wild Creations fans to visit the site and vote for our EcoAquarium under the “Specialty Toy” category at the bottom. Your support is greatly appreciated!
